ख़याल ... Khyāl (خیال) is an Urdu word of Arabic origin which means imagination, thought, ideation, meditation, reflection.

As I shared my model and its inspiration with my peers and tutors during the presentation, the positive feedback and encouragement I received were truly heartening. The suggestion to explore different angles and observe the motion of the balls from various perspectives added a layer of dynamism to my model, making it even more engaging for everyone involved. The interactive nature of the model seemed to resonate well, sparking curiosity and inviting deeper exploration. The feedback from my presentation pinpointed key areas for my poster's improvement. I'm committed to refining the visual hierarchy to enhance clarity and ensure important information stands out. Achieving a balanced composition to avoid visual clutter is a priority, and I'll focus on maintaining consistency in theme and colour scheme to align with Wymering Manor's essence.












What struck me most during the presentations from my peers was the diverse array of perspectives each individual brought to their exploration of Wymering Manor. Mohammad's imaginative take, connecting the manor with the changes over time and focusing on its doors, provided a captivating temporal dimension. Shweta's emphasis on the spider webs, experienced through a blindfold, revealed a unique sensory perspective, shedding light on intricate details often overlooked. Rakhan's philosophical stance, questioning the need for change and advocating an appreciation for the manor's essence, added a thought-provoking element to the discussions.

Intriguingly, this diversity in perspectives spurred a pivotal question in my mind — is it necessary to propose changes to the manor? Rakhan's proposition to celebrate and appreciate its very essence without alterations resonated deeply. It prompted me to consider an alternative approach: proposing activities that unite the community in celebration, embracing Wymering Manor for what it is, rather than focusing solely on changes.

This newfound perspective opens up a compelling avenue for proposing activities that bring the community together in celebration of Wymering Manor's rich history. It suggests events, festivals, or initiatives that honour the unique features of the manor, fostering a sense of unity and shared pride among the community. It's a shift from the traditional mindset of architectural interventions to one centred on the collective appreciation and preservation of the manor's authenticity. The realization is not just a change in mindset but an exciting prospect for fostering a deeper connection and shared identity among the community.
